Correcting the Villainess of the Academy - Chapter 55
Chapter 55
Dream’s Boundary (10)
“…Nice to meet you. I’m Yu Jinhyun. Shall we sit down?”
“Yes, yes.”
The woman stammered again, as if biting her tongue. She tried to manage her expression, but her earlobes remained bright red.
As I sat on the sofa opposite, I glanced at the business card she handed me with both hands. The dark background with gold-engraved letters made the details easily readable.
-S&C VIP Department Head Myo Sanga
“You seem older than me, so feel free to speak casually…”
“No, no!!”
My cautious suggestion was met with a fervent shake of her head, moving side to side rapidly.
“How could I dare… The master has assigned me to handle your affairs, so just let me know if you need anything…!”
I nearly sighed out loud but managed to hold it in. I had suspected something when she responded so calmly to my mask. It seemed the captain had alerted her in advance.
-What’s this kid’s problem? You should be glad to be treated like a prince, you idiot!

The captain’s past remark flashed through my mind, and I felt a phantom pain where he had flicked my forehead.
No matter how much time passed, I couldn’t get used to this treatment or the titles they used for me. They were all just burdensome.
Even if people knew I came from a backwater village, would they still look at me the same way?
“…”
But my discomfort wasn’t important right now. I didn’t have much time before I had to return for Yeon Minha’s bedtime.
“I need to get some equipment for an upcoming external mission. I had to leave all my military-issued gear behind, and the standard-issue Cradle items don’t suit me well…”
While the Cradle required us to use only equipment from Dain Heavy Industries, owned by Ryu Sehwa and Ryu Seunghun’s family, we could use personal sponsor gear for external missions or tournament events.
I was relieved when I first read this rule.

Dain’s equipment wasn’t bad, but it was noticeably different from the military gear I was used to, being designed more for mass distribution.
I had broken several blades while catching the antenna snake, and their particle armor felt clumsy and didn’t match my combat style.
“Well, Dain Heavy Industries makes decent products, but they can’t compare to S&C. Your discerning eye is impressive, young master!”
Myo Sanga nodded with satisfaction, having finally composed herself.
My sisters had warned me not to take sponsorships from dubious companies, but there was no need.
The owner family of S&C was the captain’s family, Heukryeon Sashi. I had used their gear since my military days, so I saw no reason to switch.
“I need a particle armor suit and a blade first. I have a mission in a few days; can I get them by then?”
“Don’t worry about that. You’ll have them within two days. Now…”
Myo Sanga confidently pulled out a catalog from her bag and spread it out. She started explaining enthusiastically.
“Let’s start with particle armor. S&C’s flagship line is the Odin series. I believe the master uses Odin.”
“Odin is too heavy for me. I used Heimdall in the army, but the joint mobility wasn’t great…”
“Ah, in that case…”
She flipped through the catalog, pointing here and there, until she found something that caught my eye.
“How about this one?”
“DA-1 Knightstalker. Its magic defense is lower, but its physical defense and mobility are excellent. It’s usually worn by security agents dealing with ordinary criminals or mutants. It’s not a bad model, but…”
“I’ll take this one.”
“What?”
It matched my requirements perfectly. I didn’t need magic defense. Mobility and physical defense were more important, aligning with my combat style.

“No! Absolutely not! If I give you such a cheap model, my head will be on the line…!”

“It’s the perfect model for me. I’ll keep it a secret, so please get this one.”
Despite her strong objection, the decision was mine. My persistent request finally made her give in.
“Ugh…”
“Thank you. And for the blade, I need a K-3 Marvelous.”
I requested the blade model I had always used.
It was originally the captain’s, but he had left it unused in storage. It turned out to be perfect for me, so I kept using it.

According to the captain, it had a high Stellite alloy ratio, making it extremely powerful but requiring significant input, unsuitable for most mages.
But the input rate wasn’t an issue for me…
“Marvelous? Your skills must be exceptional. I’ve heard that less than ten active mages can fully utilize the Marvelous…”
“Can I also get some drugs?”
“We don’t handle pharmaceuticals at S&C, but I can get anything you need. What do you want?”
“I need high-dose stimulants and accelerants. I used Eritin and Rexa in the army, and they were pretty effective. If possible, those products…”

“No! Absolutely not!”
Contrary to her previous words, Myo Sanga vehemently shook her head in horror.
“Absolutely not! Eritin and Rexa are emergency drugs for life-threatening situations! They have severe side effects… If I gave you those, I’d be…”
She looked like she might foam at the mouth from her intense reaction. But I had no choice. To be effective on a non-responsive body like mine, the dosage had to be high.
I didn’t plan to use them frequently. I had tried them once and suffered for days, getting severely scolded by my sisters. That was the first and last time.
These were only for emergencies.
“You said you could get me anything. I’ll keep this a secret too. And I’ll put in a good word for you with the captain.”
“If… if that’s the case…?”
I lightly pushed her mercenary tendencies, and it seemed to work.

“You’re more stubborn than the master…”

Eventually, she sighed and agreed to all my requests, shaking her head. After a few more light conversations, it was time to leave.
“That should be enough. How did you get close to the lady from Jeokhwa? She seems difficult…”
“Things just worked out that way. Are things bad recently?”
“Don’t get me started. It’s a crisis because of those pigs from Paechun.”
Myo Sanga frowned, looking troubled.
“Last month, they pushed through regulation 25 at the council, targeting us since we dominate the high-end particle armor market. If only the master would represent us at the top council, but he doesn’t care about such matters…”

She sighed deeply.
“At least you’re doing well at the Cradle and excelling in external activities. I have no ill will towards the lady from Baek, but thanks to you, her influence…”
“…”
When the principal first mentioned that the captain and my sisters could be harmed, I didn’t fully grasp it. It was just a disturbing possibility.
But hearing this made it more real.
I felt the weight on my shoulders grow, but I was relieved that the principal’s assignment was progressing well.
“By the way, is S&C looking for students to sponsor?”
“Of course. We’re a top sponsor of the Cradle. We’re definitely in the top three in terms of accumulated sponsorship.”
“In that case, could you check out Ha Yena and Shin Muyoung? If they’re promising, could you offer them sponsorship? Both ranked in the top 10% in their first practical.”
“If it’s your recommendation, I’ll definitely check them out!”
Myo Sanga puffed out her chest and confidently promised. Though Yena was a bit clueless and Muyoung had a difficult personality, this should be fine.
“And for the payment, just send the invoice to…”
“You’re joking, right? Get going now.”
Myo Sanga waved me out of the cafe.

When I returned to the Cradle, the sun had already set. But I wasn’t too late.
Still, upon reaching the beech dormitory, I was met with an unfamiliar sight.
Yeon Minha was standing outside, not entering, looking uneasy.
At her feet, Ddangkong was sprawled out.
“What are you doing?”
“Uhh…”
Yeon Minha flinched and turned to me.
T h i s w a s c op i e d fr om k i ng m t l . o r g
“Why are you so late…”
“I’m earlier than I said. Are you seeing strange things again?”
“N-no, but still…”
She still seemed very afraid of her symptoms returning.
As I opened the dormitory door, I heard footsteps following me.
One set belonged to a person, the other to a four-legged animal…
Looking down, I saw Ddangkong trotting into the dormitory as if it was the most natural thing.
“Is it really not your cat?”
Yeon Minha asked, full of suspicion.
“No.”
-Meow!
As I denied it, I felt a small bite on my ankle.
Yeon Minha headed to her bedroom, and I went to mine next door.
Ddangkong followed me in, and I sighed as I gently scratched its fur.
Listening to the cat’s content purring, I began writing a letter to my sisters on familiar stationery.
I wondered how the captain and my sisters were doing. The last letter I received from them was a few days ago. They mentioned resting and moving to the east, saying they were so bored it was almost unbearable, so there was nothing to worry about. Each letter also had a lengthy reminder to be wary of women.
