I Obtained Sword God Level Talent - Chapter 2
Swish!
What I held in my hand was a small dagger. However, the result this small dagger produced was astonishing.
“Kyaaagh!”
The orc’s filthy scream echoed through the cramped prison.
It happened in an instant. The eyes of those remaining in the prison darted around.
“H-How did the youngest…?”
“Was he hiding his strength?!”
“I couldn’t even see it!”
The mercenaries’ cries of astonishment were laughable.
However, I had no time to respond at the moment.
The reason was simple. Even though I had landed an effective attack, the creature wasn’t dead yet. It was still glaring at me with murderous intent.
Whoosh!
Perhaps because its right shoulder had been completely mangled, it immediately threw a left fist. The sound of it cutting through the air was fierce. I didn’t think I could get away with just a few days of recuperation if I allowed that attack to hit.
Swish!
I quickly rotated my body. At the same time, the fist grazed past me.
‘…!’
Was this the effect of my traits?
I saw a shimmering ‘light’ on the rotating body of the orc.
And the feeling of its movements appearing slow. This must also be the power of my traits.
‘Now!’
From the moment I gripped the dagger, my body felt as light as a feather. I was filled with an inexplicable confidence.
The result was obvious.
Thud! Swish!
Large movements create openings. The moment I realized this, my dagger plunged into the orc’s neck.
“K-Keeek!”
Thud!
And the orc collapsed with a death rattle.
“Pant… Pant…”

Sticky, disgusting blood drenched my face. It should have been repulsive, but my heart pounded instead.
‘It works. It’s possible.’
It was just a fight with a single orc. It was an indoor battle, disadvantageous for the large creature, but I gained immense confidence.
‘I’m stronger than I imagined.’
From the moment I held the dagger, I felt a sensation of endless blessings surging through me. I couldn’t possibly misunderstand what that meant.
The power of the numerous traits was more potent than I thought.
Stab! Stab!
I plunged the dagger into the fallen orc a few more times and wiped off the blood covering my face.
Confirmation kill.
In a game, a dead monster would turn into light and crumble, but this wasn’t a game anymore; it was reality. This was a necessary action for me.
Swoosh.
I stood up and looked around.
I saw the bewildered faces of the men who hadn’t grasped the situation yet. I said to them briefly,
T h i s was c o p i ed f r o m k i n gm t l. o r g
“Let’s go. Now.”
“Y-Yes! We should!”
Perhaps it was because I had displayed overwhelming divine power.
Despite the youngest’s incoherent order, the men imprisoned with me responded immediately.
“Hey… Youngest. What are you planning to do now?”
It was a question from a middle-aged man with a thick beard. He looked shabby, having not properly washed or eaten for days.
T h i s w as c o p i ed f r o m k i n g m t l. o r g
“First, we need to escape from here. Right now.”
“E-Escape? Now? Through them?”
“We’ll die if we don’t leave now. For sure.”
“……!”
The mercenaries gulped at my emotionless voice.
I had just sliced through an orc with just an old dagger.
They wouldn’t understand how either. The rookie mercenary, the youngest, whom they had known until now, had single-handedly killed an orc.
“Don’t they know? Even their leader is injured.”
“That’s not important. I guarantee, we’ll die if we stay here.”
“I’ll follow the youngest! I don’t want to become those monsters’ food!”
“M-Me too!”
Everyone was in agreement. Even Hans, who was grimacing in pain, nodded, so what more was there to say?
I could clearly picture the half-open prison gate.
“Arming ourselves is our top priority. Even if it’s dawn, there will be guards at the entrance.”
“T-That’s right. They’re not ordinary orcs; they’re Red Orcs.”
“The orcs will keep their loot, their weapons, in the warehouse. We need to arm ourselves there, at least minimally.”
My following explanation was extremely simple. There was no idiot here who wouldn’t understand.
“How does the youngest know the ecology of orcs so well? He’s a mercenary who just started walking…”
“Is that important right now?”
Everyone’s eyes turned to the man who spoke.
“……!”
Feeling the unspoken pressure, the man shrank his neck like a turtle, and I moved towards the half-open door.
Creak, clang!
Damn old door.
My intention to minimize the noise was shattered, but fortunately, there were no orcs who reacted to the sound of the prison door opening.
‘This is truly filthy.’
This was my first impression of the outside world, apart from the view from the prison window.
The Orc Village, or the Orc Camp as it was called in the game, boasted an extremely squalid environment.
Needless to say, they were creatures without the concept of toilets.
Flicker!
Small torches were burning here and there in the camp. We hid ourselves in the darkness, avoiding the low light, and looked around.
‘There it is!’
Finding the warehouse wasn’t that difficult.
There were no orcs roaming the camp, and the torches provided some illumination in the darkness.
Quietly approaching the warehouse, I gently pushed the large iron door.
Thud!
Contrary to our worries, the warehouse door opened easily, and everyone let out a sigh of relief.
“Enter.”
“Okay!”
The warehouse was larger than expected. And thanks to the moonlight streaming in through an open window, the interior was bright. A small blessing amidst misfortune.
“My sword! My sword is here!”
“Damn it. My hand axe and shield were here too.”
The men who entered the warehouse stroked their weapons one after another.
‘I…’
I stood still in the warehouse, scanning the area with my eyes.
Since I had no memory of the battle with the orcs, I had no idea what weapon I had used.
“Huh?”
It was then that I discovered a unique sword.
It was a black sword. Judging by the fact that the other men weren’t even interested in it, it seemed like a sword that had already lost its owner. It exuded a rather luxurious aura.
Shing!
I picked up the sword without hesitation. As I gently drew it, a jet-black blade came into view.
‘Even I, someone who doesn’t know much about swords, can tell this is a good one.’
First, its appearance. A heavy longsword, entirely black. The elegant and subtle curves were almost beautiful. Moreover, its weighty and balanced feel seemed to boast that it wasn’t an ordinary object.
‘I don’t know.’
Well, I’d take it anyway. However, at a glance, this sword didn’t seem like something that would just be lying around in a place like this. That part bothered me a little.
“Forget it. This isn’t the time to worry about such things.”
A chuckle escaped me.
My own problems were more important; what did I care about the material of a weapon? I would simply take it because it was right in front of me.
I strapped the sword to my waist and looked around. The men were all armed and tense.
‘Will this work?’
I thought as I slowly moved my feet.
This wasn’t a game anymore; it was the reality I was facing. Then how should I survive after escaping?
Where to live? Money? Should I go back to my family since I’m a noble’s son?
Questions kept popping up.
But then I shook my head.
‘Let’s focus on escaping for now.’
Creak!
I pushed open the half-closed warehouse door. The wooden door swung open with a rusty creak.
“Keep the noise down as much as possible.”
“Understood.”
Whispering voices. The men all nodded at the sound that pierced through the chirping of crickets.
Step.
I carefully stepped forward. The area outside the warehouse was no different from before.
‘Should I consider this fortunate?’
Orcs have dull senses. It was a feeling befitting their reputation as a race that had invested everything in brute strength. We were able to move like this thanks to that.
I don’t know how long we walked in silence.
“I see the exit!”
A man’s shout rang out, almost like a scream.
Indeed, I saw a gap in the crudely built wooden fence ahead. It was an awkward shape, but there was also a small guardhouse that resembled a checkpoint.
I remained vigilant and looked around.
It was strange. The Orc Camp I remembered wasn’t this easy to navigate.
Firstly, even though the orcs’ intelligence was abysmal, they were meticulous about guarding their camp. This was because every living creature except their own kind was their enemy.
Secondly, the eerily quiet atmosphere inside the camp bothered me. No matter how sleepy orcs were, there should have been at least one on patrol.
“We’re alive, we’re alive!”
“Let’s go, let’s get out of this hell!”
“Wait! Everyone stop!”
My sharp shout echoed.
But they didn’t care, even Hans, who was injured, was recklessly throwing himself towards the outside of the camp.
Whooooosh!
Slash!
“……!”
It was at that moment that an axe larger than a human male flew towards us.
“Tsk, tsk! Humans! Stupid!”
A voice that grated like metal. That bone-chillingly cold voice reached my ears clearly as I stood frozen in place.
The owner of the voice was the giant orc I had seen earlier.
The creature, who looked like a Great Warrior or a chieftain, walked leisurely around the entrance of the camp, thump, thump. Then, with its back to the village, it glowed with chilling red eyes.
“Humans! Die!”
I couldn’t bring myself to speak. The image of the men whose heads were severed in an instant kept flashing before my eyes.
T h i s w a s c o p ie d f r om k in g mt l . o rg
“Hans, Johnson, Miguel.”
And my former comrades, whose names I didn’t even know. They had met their end so pathetically at the hands of the axe thrown by that giant creature.
Why?
We had only exchanged a few words in the prison for three days, but facing their deaths made my blood run cold. My spine tingled for some unknown reason. Somehow, I sensed that this feeling wasn’t fear.
“Keeek!”
“Tsk!”
Boom! Boom! Boom!
Th i s w a s c op i e d f r o m ki n g m t l.o r g
At the same time, numerous orcs began to appear one after another. It seemed like they had planned to lure us out of the prison from the beginning.
“A trap? Was it a trap?”
I thought things had been going too smoothly. Looking at the small guardhouse at the corner of the wooden fence, I saw several headless corpses sprawled on the ground.
T h i s wa s cop i e d f ro m ki n g m tl.o r g
“Tsk, tsk! Not a trap! It’s a hunting festival!”
“Keeeeeeek!”
“Chik-chik-juk!”
Clench.
The orcs’ boisterous laughter. Looking at them, my grip on the sword hilt tightened involuntarily.
I had to think in order to survive.
Run?
It wasn’t a very good option. The question was whether I could successfully evade their pursuit.
‘Fight.’
Facing the rage that was making my whole body stiffen, I maintained a surprisingly calm mind. It was thanks to the traits Calm and Clear-Headed, which were proving their worth even at this moment.
‘Kill them. All of them.’
I made my decision.
T h is w a s c o p i e d f r o m k i n g m tl. o r g
‘Rely on the traits. It’s better to fight than to run.’
The probability of successfully escaping was extremely low. I made a cold-headed judgment of the situation.
Shing!
The sword I had acquired just a few minutes ago was revealed to the world with a clear ringing sound.
The jet-black blade that didn’t reflect a single ray of light seemed quite fitting for this gloomy, pre-dawn scene.
“Keeek? Weak human! Not running!”
“Keeek! No fun! No fun!”
The orcs’ words were dripping with arrogance. I stood before them, glaring at the enemy.
“Yes.”
Once I made up my mind, a surprisingly calm tone escaped me.
Of course, I wasn’t completely free from worry. It was just that the power of my traits calmed my mind more than ever before.
“Keeek! The weakest human! Only one left!”
The orcs scanned me with their flickering red eyes. I couldn’t help but frown at the unpleasant feeling I got just from meeting their gaze.
‘The weakest human, they say?’

I couldn’t help but scoff at their misjudgment.
T hi s w as c o p ied f r om k i n gm t l . o r g
They seemed to be unaware of the situation. It seemed they had no idea that I, the youngest and seemingly weakest, was the one with the strongest will to fight.

“I am not the weakest prey, but your…”
I raised my sword. Facing the dozens of orcs, information about the battlefield, the enemy, and their weapons flooded my mind.
“Enemy.”
