I Obtained Sword God Level Talent - Chapter 3
I surged toward the orcs like lightning and immediately launched an attack.
Swish!
“Kyaaaaagh!”
I sliced through the abdomen of one orc. It screamed and staggered back a few steps before collapsing, its innards spilling out, and breathed its last.
Thud!
“Keeek!”
Despite one of their comrades losing their life so pathetically, their attacks continued relentlessly. This time, three or four orcs charged at me, surrounding me from all sides.
Whoosh!
I quickly ducked to avoid an axe. Then, I smoothly moved my body towards the open space, as if flowing like water, and delivered a sword strike.
Slash! Swish!
“Keeek!”
The power of my newly acquired sword was as potent as expected. It tore through the thick hide of the Red Orc, causing massive bleeding, as if cutting through tofu.
Pierce! Thud!

A follow-up thrust. With that simple motion, another orc met its end.
Thwack!
Having dealt with all the orcs that initially charged, I stood nonchalantly. Then, with a frown, I beckoned the large orc leader with my finger.
“Come on. Are you going to just watch all day?”
“Keeek! Fearless human!”
Contrary to his words, the orc leader didn’t charge immediately. Instead, he took out a small horn from his bosom and blew it loudly.
Boooooooo-!
‘…Is he calling for more of his kind?’
Could the horn itself be an ‘item’? The sound it emitted, filled with an ominous aura, was incredibly loud.
And then.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
Right after the sound of the horn filled the forest, a giant drum began to reverberate throughout the camp. Following that, Red Orcs with sinister gleams in their eyes began to appear in droves.
“…This is absurd.”
Silently observing the scene, I couldn’t help but mutter in a dejected tone.
Orcs are not my match. Thanks to a few skirmishes, that fact had become clear. However… the number of orcs currently visible in my sight was well over a hundred.
‘Damn it. Will my stamina hold out?’
There was no time for deep contemplation. The orc leader, who had been blowing the horn, suddenly shouted like a thunderbolt.
“Keeek! Kill that human! Whoever kills him will receive the blessing of the Great Warrior!”
“Keeeeeek!”
“Keeek!”
Thud, thud, thud!
What was the ‘Great Warrior’s blessing’ that made so many orcs crave it? The orc horde charged towards me immediately. The large axes and hand axes they wielded flew towards me, unerringly aiming for vital points.
Slash! Swish!
The ensuing battle was a complete mud fight.
An endless barrage of orc axes. I responded by performing all sorts of acrobatics, like a stuntman filming an action movie, continuing the offense and defense.
Whoosh!
When an attack came from my blind spot, I would advance forward instead. As the sharp black blade danced, space would momentarily open up. I would then jump back into it, continuing the fight.
After cutting down over thirty orcs in this manner.
“Gasp! Gasp!”

I finally realized that my stamina was reaching its limit.
The mercenaries called me Frey, the youngest of the mercenary corps. Just as they said, my untrained body began to scream at the sudden strain.
‘Damn it!’

Every time I swung my sword and was splattered with blood, my breath caught in my throat.
Although I hadn’t yet suffered any external injuries by allowing their attacks to land, the situation seemed likely to worsen, not improve.
“Keeek! Keeek! He’s tired! The human!”
“Shut up!”
Stab!
It seemed that they too had instinctively realized that my stamina was nearing its limit. The orcs’ offensive became even fiercer.
And then.
Blind spot!
“Ugh!”
After cutting down nearly ten more orcs, my slowed reaction finally allowed their attack to connect.
Although I managed to avoid a fatal blow by twisting my body at the last moment. The problem was that the wound on my shoulder was bleeding. It didn’t look like the situation would improve; it would only worsen.
‘Why are there so many orcs?!’
Gritting my teeth and swinging my sword, I screamed inwardly.
I already knew that Red Orcs lived in tribes. But I had never heard of them gathering in such large numbers. I had already killed nearly a hundred orcs.
Stagger!
“Ugh!”
Throughout the battle, I had aimed for the vital points of my enemies to conserve my stamina.
However, the injury on top of my depleted stamina caused dizziness, making my vision go dark.
Swish! Stab!
But I would not tire, nor would I give up.
My swordsmanship, bordering on miraculous, shone against the orcs who were waiting for an opening. But the light didn’t last long. Even the light that had been slaughtering the orcs began to dim.
Clatter!
“Keeek! Die!”
The Orc Great Warrior, who had been watching my momentary loss of balance, charged at me. The giant axe he wielded jumped high, flying with a menacing force.
‘…Is this the end?’
It felt like time was slowing down.
Like a revolving lantern, everything that had happened from the moment I opened my eyes in the filthy prison until now flashed through my mind.
And then.
Beeeeeeeeeeep-

A loud ringing filled my ears.
Is this the revolving lantern one experiences at death’s door? For a moment, I blankly stared at the charging Orc Great Warrior.

Thump! Thump!
For a fleeting moment, I felt a strange sensation.
The pounding of my heart, my ragged breathing, my extremely dilated pupils.
It was like experiencing time in slow motion. But for some reason, I felt as if warm sunlight was shining on my depleted stamina.

I tightened my grip on the sword.
The feeling of boundless power coursing through my body stole my mind.
At some point, a brilliant, radiant light had enveloped the sword, which was drenched in red blood.
Several members of the Imperial Northern Expeditionary Force, the Golden Lion Knights, were climbing the mountain from early dawn.
Their mission was reconnaissance and monster subjugation. According to the scouts, there was a Red Orc dwelling halfway up this mountain. The Knights had mobilized to subjugate them.
“But Senior, I find it strange that so many knights are being mobilized.”
“What’s strange about it?”
“Wouldn’t it be easy for the squad leader alone to subjugate an orc village? But looking at us now…”
The knight clicked his tongue and gestured around.
There, five knights, including the squad leader, were climbing the mountain with tired faces.
“This guy, he knows one thing but not the other.”

“…Yes? Am I wrong?”
“Yes. You’re completely wrong. Underestimating Red Orcs can lead to serious injury. Andrew, can you kill hundreds of orcs alone?”
“N-No.”
“Then you shouldn’t complain about the mission.”
At the senior knight’s voice, the knight named Andrew spoke, unable to hide his surprise.
“You don’t mean… there are hundreds of orcs in one village?”
“Yes. It’s a characteristic of the orcs in this region. There’s a reason why the commander sent the squad leader and us together.”
Andrew and the senior knight chatted as they climbed the mountain.
Normally, the squad leader, known for his strict discipline, would have reprimanded them. But perhaps because the war was over and they had more leeway, the squad leader let their conversation slide.

Halt!
The knights, who had been climbing for a while, stopped when the squad leader at the front raised his hand.
“Front, halt. I smell blood.”
“…The smell of blood?”
“Yes. A very thick, and musty scent of blood. Has a subjugation team already been dispatched?”
The squad leader frowned and tilted his head.
If his assumption that a subjugation team had been dispatched was wrong, the matter would become more complicated.
There had never been a case of a knight, whose individual prowess was exceptional, going missing. However, numerous mercenary groups hired by the expedition had disappeared during reconnaissance missions.
Since it was unlikely for mercenary groups who had been promised compensation to desert at the end of the war, it was highly probable that they had all been killed by monsters.
In other words, the owner of this blood scent could be their distant colleagues, their comrades-in-arms.
“We climb the mountain at full speed. You may use mana.”
The squad leader ordered the knights with an impassive face. And then he began to climb the mountain at an incredible speed.
“W-We should hurry and follow!”
“Y-Yes!”
Surprised by the squad leader’s sudden burst of speed, the other knights also hurriedly kicked off the ground.
A short while later.
Upon reaching the mountainside, the knights were met with a horrifying scene.
T h i s w a s c o p i e d f r o m k i ng m t l .or g
“W-What is this?!”
Blood here, blood there. There was so much blood that it was pooled up to their ankles. And hundreds of orc corpses, soaked in that blood, lay dead with their vital points pierced, their bodies growing cold.
“T-There are human bodies too! Judging by their attire and weapons, they appear to be mercenaries!”
“Hmm.”
The squad leader looked at the battle scene with a grave expression.
There wasn’t a single orc alive. Judging by this one-sided carnage, it was almost as if another knight order had overlapped their subjugation zone and caused confusion.
‘The battle took place at the entrance of the orc village.’
Slowly walking and examining the scene, the squad leader scanned the surroundings with sharp eyes.
‘The armed mercenaries… all died in a single blow.’
Then who killed all these orcs? This was the level of battle that a knight of the squad leader’s caliber, hailed as a promising talent of the Empire, could display. But wasn’t the possibility of such a skilled individual existing within a mercenary group extremely low?
“S-Survivor! Survivor found! Survivor found!”
T h i s w as c o p i e d f r o m k i n g m t l . or g
A survivor?
The squad leader’s eyes narrowed at Andrew’s voice coming from afar.
Him. He was probably the one who created this gruesome hell of orcs, the one who survived this horrific battle.
Strength entered the squad leader’s steps as he walked towards the voice.
