Magic Academy's Genius Blinker - Chapter 7
Chapter 7
Admission (4)
This world is inside a game called ‘Aether World.’ However, it seems an additional explanation is necessary.
Aether World is actually a game based on the original romance fantasy novel ‘Don’t Love the Unfortunate Princess.’
The novel ‘Don’t Love the Unfortunate Princess’ is about the female protagonist ‘Aiselle,’ who loses her father and her family at a young age and grows up while confronting the schemes of the villainess ‘Hong Bi-yeon’ at a magic school. Eventually, she ends up with one of the male protagonists.
In the process, the revenge plot vanishes, and the female protagonist Aiselle, who was initially confident and powerful, ends up just being protected by the male protagonists, receiving a lot of criticism even when it had a sad ending. Nonetheless, the game ‘Aether World’ used this world setting.
However, the content is entirely different from the original novel.

The game added an original character named ‘Flame’ and made her the ‘true female protagonist.’
Interestingly, Flame’s character is set as a woman who lived an ordinary life in modern times and was a fan of the novel ‘Don’t Love the Unfortunate Princess’ before she mysteriously transmigrated into this world.
As a result, Aiselle was pushed out from the protagonist’s spot and came to be known as the ‘fake protagonist,’ while Flame became the true protagonist in the game’s world and a playable character.
‘So, I just need to be cautious of Flame.’
Rustle, rustle.
I lifted my head at the noisy sound to find a giant auditorium filling my view.
On the podium, an elderly man with a beard reaching his waist was passionately speaking into a microphone, spitting as he did.
– Ahem! Even at this very moment, the ‘Dark Mages’ are shaking the magical world! It is the destiny of us mages to protect the world from the forces of darkness!
The voice echoed familiarly yet strangely.
“Ugh, the vice principal is so boring.”
“A speech right after we enroll?”
Looking around, I saw about a thousand students in neat rows, wearing the black-based, gold-trimmed Stella Academy high school uniforms.
It was a sight I had frequently seen while replaying the storyline.
This was the entrance ceremony of Stella Academy.
‘…This feels really weird.’
A scene I had seen in a 3D game had now become a perfect reality. Each student was alive, breathing, and filled with emotions.

I subtly turned my gaze to find the girl named Flame.
T h i s w a s c op i e d f ro m k i n g m t l .or g
The pretty girl with a well-suited bob cut was calmly looking around.
In the game, she was often described with the adjective ‘lovable,’ making her quite noticeable with her cute appearance, attracting the attention of everyone regardless of age or gender.
‘A modern person, huh.’
Initially, I wanted to go up to her and ask if she really came from the ‘reality’ I knew.
After all, it would be helpful to find a way to escape this world or at least find a way to survive by connecting with a fellow modern person.
Sharing a common background of coming from modern times might build a sense of kinship, making her more likely to help me.
But since I couldn’t be sure of her exact nature, I decided against it.
If she decided to exclude another transmigrator who knew too much about this world, I might die without anyone knowing.
‘I know more information.’
I didn’t particularly need her. She was a ‘novel transmigrator,’ while I was a ‘novel game transmigrator,’ which was a step further. …Though my appearance in the game was as an extra less significant than a village shop NPC.
– So, I hope all new students strive continuously today and tomorrow to eradicate the Dark Mages! That’s all!
– Next, there will be an oath by four students who enrolled with high grades and the representative of the new students.
The new student representative and the top four students, named Haewonryang, Aiselle, Flame, and Hong Bi-yeon, ascended the podium.
“Wow, how can they be so smart and so handsome or pretty?”
“Indeed…”
While there were people like me, who came in last out of 1,141 students, there were always those bright, shining ones admired by everyone.
Though all five were outstanding without any one of them standing out more, one stood out the most.
– The new student representative! Ma Yuseong!
The top-ranking freshman representing Stella Academy, ‘Ma Yuseong.’
A character that best fit the phrase ‘Heaven above, I alone am supreme.’
He possessed the potential to reach the divine realm of 9-star Mana Status and innate talent to handle all attributes in the world.
Due to this, my first point of interest was Ma Yuseong.
Even if I couldn’t reach the true ending, I had to bring Ma Yuseong to the side of good to avoid a bad ending.
However, leading that effort was the female protagonist ‘Flame’s’ role. My role was merely to support the protagonists from the shadows.
– …With this, the entrance ceremony concludes.
Wow! As cheers erupted right after the entrance ceremony ended, I mingled with the crowd, observing the protagonists, and concluded the ceremony.
[Episode 2 ‘Enroll in Stella Academy!’ has been completed.]

[You have gained a small amount of experience.]

When it comes to school events, they usually involve nothing but mundane stories.
Enjoyable school life with friends? Heart-pounding fireworks with a crush?
None of that.
Midterms, finals, mock exams, quizzes, emergency tests, assignments, homework, assignments, and more assignments.
‘It’s been a long time since I graduated from university, and now I’m back in high school.’
Moreover, Stella Academy’s high school division is more rigorous than most Korean universities, and just thinking about the hellish workload made my future seem bleak.

The essence of school life isn’t love, friends, or festivals, but exams.
Stella Magic Academy holds an exam even on the first day. Although it’s more of a simple test than an exam.
It’s called the ‘Class Placement Test.’
Although passing the extremely difficult entrance exam, students still had to take written and practical magic tests to determine their rankings internally and be placed in classes from F to A.
Most playable characters were, of course, assigned to Class S, but Baek Yu-seol, due to his lowest grades and weakest combat power, almost always ended up in Class F, suffering losses in various ‘events.’
Later, through the library or study room, he utilized the ‘press the button to study automatically’ system to improve his grades, but that doesn’t seem possible in reality.
For that reason, I was blankly staring at the test paper on my desk.
Taking the exam meant just looking at it with my eyes, right?
If not, oh well.
‘Since it’s set that I’ve already enrolled, I can just submit a blank paper.’
T hi s w a s c o p i ed fr o m k i n g m t l. o r g
Surely I wouldn’t get expelled. Thinking that, I glanced to the side and saw a boy staring blankly out the window, not even pretending to take the test.
Ma Yuseong, the model student.
Even the side of his face, with his black hair shining in the sunlight, was astonishingly handsome. However, despite his radiant appearance, he seemed bored.
‘Is he already like that?’
That was Ma Yuseong’s fundamental issue. He was already feeling bored with life, despite not even being an adult yet.
Everything in life had been easy for him.
Born into the most powerful family in the world, possessing the most genius brain and talent, he lived without any obstacles, making life uninteresting.
How the female protagonist ‘Flame’ handles Ma Yuseong greatly affects the story’s direction.
Depending on the situation, Ma Yuseong could side with evil or good.
For someone who found life boring, the declaration of the Dark Mages to destroy humanity would be fascinating.
‘His family issues are the biggest problem, though.’
Peeking at his test paper, I saw that he had already finished all the questions. Wow, he finished already? His approach was different from mine, who sat still, knowing nothing.
Then, a thought crossed my mind.
‘Wait, can’t the Bulbul Glasses cover the tests too?’
While playing the game, I often used the ‘reading in the library’ content to accumulate additional abilities, so the glasses should contain quite a bit of knowledge.
Thinking that, I pulled out the glasses, but immediately, someone grabbed my wrist from behind.
“Wait a minute. What are those glasses?”
“Uh, huh?”
Startled, I stammered as a man, presumably an instructor, grabbed the glasses and brought them to his eyes.
“I told you not to use glasses during the test without prior inspection, didn’t I?”
Oh. Right, I heard about wizards cheating with suspiciously enchanted glasses, though that wouldn’t work in Stella Academy.
‘What should I do?’
As I pondered, a message appeared.
[The loss of the item ‘Bulbul Glasses’ has been detected.]
[Would you like to retrieve it?]
…No. Absolutely not! If they think it’s enchanted and I get expelled, what am I going to do?
As I stayed quiet, the instructor examined the glasses thoroughly and finally nodded with a stern expression.
“There’s no magic on them. Be careful next time.”
“Oh, yes…”

He handed the glasses back to me and turned away. It seemed they weren’t as strict as I feared.
‘Wow, if the original functions were still there, I would be in big trouble.’
The numerous functions in the Bulbul Glasses had been downgraded and deleted. If they had remained, they might have detected magical energy, and I could have been expelled.
Feeling relieved, I put on the Bulbul Glasses.
‘Oh…’
I could really see all the answers on the test paper. Excitedly, I eagerly started writing down the answers, but just after solving three questions…
“Test over. Submit your answer sheets.”
“Uh, what?”
The answer sheet flew out of my hand into the inspector’s hand. Other students’ answer sheets also started flying to him, and it wasn’t just me who felt regret; everyone sighed.
‘Darn, I just started using the function.’
I was tapping my desk with my magic pen in frustration (timidly), when the inspector, checking the answer sheets, suddenly approached me with a fierce expression.
“You, give me those glasses!”
“Huh?”
“Now!”
I almost peed myself. No, I think I did a little. The genuine threat from a real wizard made my heart drop.
This w as c o p i e d f r o m k i ngm t l . o r g
Hurriedly handing over the glasses, he examined them with a terrifying expression. It seemed he was infusing some mana…
Why is he doing this? I even wrote down the solutions in detail to avoid any misunderstanding about cheating.
“…Hmm.”
Not getting the desired result, he tilted his head in confusion and called an assistant waiting nearby.
“Bring Dr. Grayan here.”
The assistant quickly left the room, and soon, a white-coated doctor with glasses appeared.
T h i s w as c o p i ed fr o m ki ngm t l . o r g
He was Dr. Grayan, a professor of magic engineering at Stella Academy and a world-renowned authority in magic engineering.
“What do you think, Doctor?”
“Hmm…”
Thi s w a s c o p i e d f r o m k ing mtl .o r g
Dr. Grayan quietly examined my glasses and then looked at my test paper, widening his eyes.
Did something really go wrong?
After repeatedly looking between my face, the glasses, and the test paper, Dr. Grayan finally spoke.
“It’s understandable to be suspicious about solving this problem.”
“Just as I thought, cheating…”
“But it’s not cheating. There’s no magical tool detected in the glasses or the student’s belongings. He solved it with pure skill.”
Then he laughed heartily.
“Haha, this is amusing. Living long enough, you see all sorts of things. This year’s freshmen are indeed intriguing.”
Handing the test paper back to the inspector, Dr. Grayan patted his shoulder.
“Anyway, Professor Lee Han-wol, apologize to the student and guide him well.”
“…Understood.”
Dr. Grayan patted my shoulder and left. As I stood there awkwardly with the glasses back in my hand, the instructor nodded slightly.
“I misunderstood. I apologize.”
Since I did use the glasses to cheat, I pondered whether to accept the apology.
But then I remembered that my glasses were a perfect part of me, unnoticeable to even the wizards. If Dr. Grayan couldn’t tell, no one in this world could.
A perfect trick unrecognizable by anyone is no longer a trick, but my skill, right?
So I stiffly straightened my shoulders and said.
“It happens. Be careful next time.”
I was a generous man, after all.
